What is a class like at the paint post?
The Paint Post is a paint and sip studio for all ages, you will relax in a social, group setting, and an artist will guide you through replicating the nights featured painting step by step. Whether you are an aspiring Van Gogh or just looking to explore your creative side, you are sure to go home with a painting that is uniquely yours. By the end of the evening you will be amazed at the artwork you have created! Most classes are held Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with a few morning/afternoon classes in between. Classes typically last about 2 – 2 1/2 hours with frequent breaks.

Do I need to sign up in advance?
Because of limited seating, signing up in advance is always recommended. You can register on the website or give us a call. Early registration is encouraged as sessions have both a minimum and maximum registration. If a class is sold out, please give us a call to be put on our waiting list. Due to last minute cancellations, we can almost always get you in!

CAN I SIT WITH FRIENDS?
YES! Simply include a note in the comment section when you register/call and specify whose party you’re in.

What is the cost of a class at the paint post?
The price ranges between $25-$45 (plus tax) depending on the session and difficulty of painting.

What is included in the price?
We provide each painter with a pre-stretched 16 x 20 canvas, paint, brushes, easels, aprons, and instruction.

What is the age limit?
Regular evening sessions are adult oriented – painters must be 18 and older. Individuals ages 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult. We offer Family Day Sessions and Open Painting Sessions which welcome ages 5 and up accompanied by an adult. These are guaranteed to offer a fun and creative morning or afternoon!

What do I wear?
While we will provide aprons, we recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on- just in case! Remember- we are using acrylic paints so be sure to leave nice jackets and purses at home! The Paint Post cannot be responsible for any paint damage.

What time do I need to arrive for a class?
We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to get registered, settled at your seat, and grab a glass of wine!

What is your cancellation policy?
Because of our waiting lists, we ask you to give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. Cancellations should be made online through email or by phone. This provides us the opportunity to fill the space. We do reserve the right to charge the class fee for reservations not cancelled 24 hours in advance.

When does the new schedule come out?
We try to post the schedule at least four weeks in advance. “LIKE” us on Facebook or join our email list to get a sneak peak of the monthly calendar before the online posting.

I missed a painting that I really want to pain! How often will you repeat paintings?
Please let us know! We will keep this in mind when scheduling the next month’s paintings!

Can I BYOB?
No. BYOB is illegal in the town of Sheridan. A variety of beverages will be provided for purchase.

If I come with a friend or a group, can we all sit together?
We always try to seat friends and parties together… just be sure to let us know when making your reservation and we’ll be sure to make the appropriate seating arrangements.
